Educational Content: Interoperability & Integration

2012

Current and Future Strategies (Login may be required)

In this didactic session, the importance of imaging IT system integration and interoperability, along with the challenges and practical constraints and frustrations when attempting to get systems to “talk to each other”, will be presented from a practical perspective. “Real-world” illustrations of what can be successfully accomplished today will be presented, including web viewer EHR integration, single sign-on, scheduled workflow, and RIS vs PACS driven workflow.

Third Party Integrations: A Vendor Perspective (Login may be required)

It is very difficult for any one vendor to provide all integrations, data, and applications needed within a department. This session will focus on how applications and data from different systems can work together using state of the art technology and present integration standards.;
