Education Committee

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify the educational needs of SIIM members.
  • Identify emerging educational and web technologies through which to develop and disseminate SIIM education programs and activities.
  • Develop continuing education content and professional training programs for imaging physicians, IIPs, and residents in imaging informatics intensive medical specialties.
  • Initiate cooperation with other societies and implement collaborative educational activities.
  • Develop SIIM as a knowledge-centered organization for the imaging informatics community.

This committee was established in 2001 when the Publications & Education Committee was split into two committees.
