A fundamental role of SIIM is to bridge the gap between engineers and scientists who develop the systems and radiologists and technologists who use them. SIIM provides an open environment for imaging information professionals to access expert and cutting edge resources in a collegial and practical atmosphere. Membership in SIIM is open to anyone with an interest in this vital and growing field. PurposeThe Purpose of SIIM is as set forth in Article 3 of its Articles of Incorporation: The Corporation is organized to promote and advance, directly and indirectly, through study, research, design and testing, the development and application of advanced technology information systems that will improve the delivery of medical imaging services.
